1.0 Prayer is a Discipline You Must Excel In!

1.1 Believers are engaged in a spiritual battle!

A) The Christian life is not merely a spiritual walk, it's a warfare walk.

1. We are warring with the enemy of our souls for him to release our families from his grips so they can thrive.

2. We're warring against the powers of darkness to gain breakthroughs that lead to a more Christ-glorifying life.

B) We are praying for the souls of men, the advancement of the kingdom of God, and our eternal purposes.

2 Corinthians 10:3-4 (NIV)-3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.

1. One of the mighty weapons we've been given is the weapon of prayer.

2. Bold, faith-filled prayers have divine power. They move God.

i. God is committed to rescuing you from the powers of darkness.

ii. Prayer is God's invitation to get involved in your battles and plight.

I lifted the little thing to my breast, and, swinging round and round, fought off the dogs. Just then I felt that all the dogs in the [world] could not and would not capture that fawn after its weakness had appealed to my strength." Source: Pr ...
