INTRODUCTION

A. NATURAL DISASTERS THIS YEAR THAT HAVE
PLAGUED OUR NATION.

1. The floods of the mid-west.

2. The earthquake in California.

B. REPRESENTS THE STORMS THAT BOMBARD US.

1. May be more personal in nature.

2. Personal storms can be as powerful as
national disasters.

C. THE FOUNDATION DETERMINES THE OUTCOME.


I. SECURITY THAT IS BASED ON A FOUNDATION.

A. FACT: EVERYBODY'S BUILDING A LIFE.

God, in Matthew 7 makes a clear distinction
between people.

1. TWO ROADS. BROAD OR NARROW. VS.13-14

a. We think of the two roads being
side by side. I honestly think
of the roads as a very wide road
with a narrow road down the
middle.

b. One side filled with evil:
Murderer, rapist, pervert, etc..

c. The other side filled with
goodness, religion, morality,
etc..

d. Both sides headed to destruc-
tion.
e. The narrow road: Those who
trust Christ as Savior.

(1.) Running in the opposite
direction of the broad
road.

(2.) Trusting Christ will
always go against the
flow. That life springs
from a different source,
follows a different course
and comes to a different
conclusion.

2. TWO LIVES. VS. 15.
