- I started a sermon series on Easter Sunday called Questions for God. I don't know about you, but I've talked to a lot of people who have some unanswered questions when it comes to God, the Bible, and Christianity. So, we're going to do our best over the next several weeks to address and answer some important questions about our faith.
- Today, I want to ask a very important question: Is There Really Only One God? Let's take a few moments and read some selected verses from Psalm 18 as we consider this question: READ 1-3, 30-31, 46, 49-50
- *We are a people and a nation that likes choices. We want options. I can prove it to you very quickly. For instance, let's say it's time to buy a car. When you want to buy a car, you have about 60 major automotive brands to choose from. Within those 60 brands, there are more than 400 different models that you could select. And within each model, there are multiple levels of features to choose. Let's make it a bit more simple than cars. What about cereal? It's time to buy groceries and your kids want you to get them some cereal. There are 72 different brands of cereal with over 1,000 variations among those brands. You have so many choices to make. Then, you narrow it down and you know, my kids will want Fruity Pebbles. There you go, the breakfast of champions! You still have to choose from three different types: Original Fruity Pebbles, Cocoa Pebbles, or Marshmallow Fruity Pebbles. And anytime you have to make a choice like that, the answer is always Marshmallow Fruity Pebbles! Of course! Okay, cars and cereal are complicated. Let's see if we can simplify things. You just want a cup of coffee. This ought to be simple. You decide you're going to a popular coffee spot called Starbucks. Don't know if you've heard of it, but they sell coffee there.
