I. INTRODUCTION

A. ill. News interview: What if you could bring someone from hell what would he say?

1. People in hell primarily interested in people on earth.

2. Luke 16. The rich man had much to say about his concern for those on earth.

B. Why bring people from hell.

1. Those who do not learn from history are destined to repeat it.

2. Those who do not learn from the mis- takes of others will repeat them.

II. JUDAS ISCARIOT. MATTHEW 27:3-4

A. THE ACKNOWLEDGMENTS OF JUDAS.

1. I PROFESSED THE RELIGION OF JESUS, BUT I DID NOT POSSESS A RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS.

a. Almost everyone is religious.

b. There are many ways people adopt a particular religion.

(1) Birth

(2) Formal action such as confirmation, baptism, or completion of a class.

(3) Personal request to join.

c. Often becoming a Christian is confused with adopting thee rel. of a particular denomination.

2. I WAS COMMITTED TO THE PROGRAM OF JESUS WITHOUT COMMITMENT TO JESUS.

a. Judas was with Jesus when He worked miracles, taught, sent the men out on visitation. He was involved in all this.

b. It is easy to be involved in a program without an invitation to the person.

3. I GAVE A TEMPORARY TESTIMONY BUT GAVE UP THROUGH THE TEST OF TIME.

a. Judas appeared to be a genuine disciple, but the test of time revealed him for what he was.

b. ''Faith that fizzles before the finish was faulty from the first.''

B. THE AGONY OF JUDAS.

1. HE HIDDEN ANGUISH HE EXPERIENCED.

a. He hid behind being involved. No one would have ever expected Judas.

b. Today, there is so much people can hide behind. Commitment to church, teaching SS, singing in the choir, etc...

2. THE HORRENDOUS ACT HE COMMITTED.

a. He betrayed Jesus with a kiss.
