We come to the conclusion of the series on "The Great Doctrines of Salvation."
The final message is on the home of the saved, the final destiny and resting place of those who have salvation. The wonderful placed known as Heaven.
John 14:1-6 - " Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. (2) In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. (3) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. (4) And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. (5) Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? (6) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
Roughly 50 years ago, the Russian cosmonaut Yury Gagarin—the first human launched into space—reportedly returned to Earth with a simple, Soviet-style message: “I looked and looked and looked, but I didn’t see God.”
The highest point he went in space was 200 miles.
The James Webb telescope has the capacity to look 13.6 billion light years distant—which will be the farthest we've ever seen into space. This image of the galactic cluster known as SMACS 0723 contains thousands of galaxies, some of which are as far away as 13.1 billion light years. (A single light year is just under 6 trillion miles).
A Russian Cosmonaut went 200 miles. Why he didn't even make it from Houston to Dallas and then came back to announce to us he has circled the globe and searched the universe and there is no God.
That's not what John says about Heaven!
We may not know what Heaven is or where Heaven is, but it's greater than you ever imagined and it's closer that you think!
