DESCRIPTION OF SERMON: Many believers live in mudflat Christianity, always stuck in the wrong passage of scripture and verse. We have to become good soldiers of the Lord. Through our endurance and perseverance, we are able to overcome all things. The ability to persevere and endure is an essential quality of Christianity that will get us of the mudflats of life.

2 Corinthians 4:6 says, "For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shown in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." God has commanded light to shine out of your darkness. Verse 7 says, "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels..." In the earthen vessels that we live in, our vessel are sometimes weak, forgetful, doubtful, and double minded. We could always make an excuse and say, "well, that's just the way I am." No matter how much light God commands to shine into my darkness, I always have a good excuse to say, "but God has put this treasure into this little mud pot of an earthen vessel." However, the verse doesn't stop there. It says, "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."
God did not intend for us to use our weaknesses as an excuse, but God says in the midst of your weakness, I'm going to shine my power in you. You cannot glory in your strength, but you can glory in my strength. It goes on to say in verse 8, "We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed..." The earthen vessel wants to be distressed, but God has filled the earthen vessel if you are a born again believer. "If any man be in Christ, he is a new creation, old things are passed away, behold all things become new (2 Corinthians 5:17)." ...
