I recently discovered some really outlandish claims about celebrities. Again, really bizarre claims - I hope you get a laugh out of these. JonBenét Ramsey grew up to be Katy Perry. Britney Spears was a government operative during the Bush administration. And the Academy Award-winning actor Nicolas Cage is a vampire.1 Now, most of us just pleasantly move along when we encounter such believe such things in society. But if someone we are really close to makes such an outlandish claim, we might pause to ask for proof.

If I told you I saw Elvis last night and did karaoke together at the No Name Saloon and Monkey Bar, you either shrug your shoulders, thinking I was one more crazy person, or you'd demand proof. Or if I told you I rode a spaceship with little green aliens last night all the way to Mars and back, I hope you either take me to a psychiatrist or you'd demand proof.

Let me leave the silly for a moment, and What if I said such things as this? I know Almighty God personally. I am going to heaven immediately after I die, and I will be resurrected one day. I have the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Godhead, in my heart to guide me in every decision in this life. People of faith say such things all the time, but no one asks for proof. The Bible says we should do just that: ask for proof. Proof is a fact or piece of information that shows that something exists or it is true.2 Do you have any proof that you are a follower of Jesus Christ?
