I ran across a story this week about a farmer, and he hired a man to work for him. And he gave him his first assignment. He said he needed him to paint the barn. He said, "You know, it's a good-size barn. Probably going to take you three days." Well, he hired the man, and the man did it in a day and a half. He was greatly impressed. "Wow, you're a hard worker, a fast worker." Then he gave him an assignment to chop all this wood into firewood. He said, "This is a lot of wood. It's probably going to take you four days." Well, the guy did it two days. The farmer is impressed and shocked. He said, "Wow, you're amazing." Then he gave him a third assignment. He said, 'Okay, now this is the job I want you to do." He said, "I have all these potatoes. I need you to figure out which potatoes need to go to the hogs, and which potatoes need to go for planting, and which potatoes we can sell. You separate them out." He said, "It's not that big a job. It should just take you a few hours." Well, he came at the end of the day, and he looked to see what the guy had done. He hadn't done anything. And he said to him, "I don't understand it. You're such a hard worker, and you've barely even begun this job." And the man said to him, "Boss, I can work hard, but I just can't make decisions."

Now, some of us are not very good at making decisions, but life is all about making decisions. You know, we have little decisions, and then we have big decisions. Everybody made decisions this morning. You decided what time you were going to get up. You decided what you were going to eat for breakfast. You decided what you were going to wear. Some of you made a good decision. Some of you didn't. I love what Jerry Seinfeld said, "There are clothes in your closet and shirts in your closet saying, "He never picks me!" You know, you just have stuff, because you make a decision, "I'm not goi ...
