I was reading a story this week about a young teenager. His name was Abdullah. He lived in Bangladesh. His family was Muslim, very devout Muslims. They were well-known in the village and in the community. His father had even built a mosque that was right next door to their property. Well, Abdullah heard the Gospel, and Abdullah got saved. Well, that is a non-no for a Muslim to trust Christ. So, his parents talked to him, but he would not budge in his commitment to Jesus. So, his father started to beat him, but he would not budge. And then, the father got others in the village to come and beat his son, but he would not budge in his commitment to Christ. And his mother said, "Well, we're not going to feed you anymore," and they withheld food from him. His mother would serve him a plate of ashes. Abdullah prayed to the Lord for strength, but he would not budge from his commitment to Christ. Well, the family called for the mullah, which is the Muslim cleric, and he came, and he spent time with Abdullah, and he began to read the Koran to Abdullah. He began to quote it. He began to chant. He began to pray. He began to do everything he knew to do to change this boy's mind, to turn him away from Christ and back to Islam. And after five hours of working with this boy, the mullah said to the family, "His spirit is stronger than my spirit. I cannot break him." Abdullah had found life in the Lord Jesus Christ, and he was changed, and he was never going to go back. And over the course of the next few months, because of his witness and because of his boldness and because of his courage in Christ, he led 27 Muslims to faith in Jesus. God used him in such a great way. And ...
