Well, if you have your Bible, please turn to the Book of Luke, Luke chapter 11. I want to talk to you on this subject: "Jesus on Prayer." Jesus talking about prayer.

I was reading this week about some missionaries, early missionaries in Africa, and when they would share the Gospel in a particular village, and the people would respond to the Gospel, then they would show these early African converts how to have a quiet time with the Lord, how to have a prayer time with the Lord. And they said, "Listen! You need to have a private little place." And so, they would teach them to leave their huts in the morning and go out and pray. And so, they would walk out in the bush and they would find this little place that they could go individually, you know, their place for a quiet time. And as they did that day after day after day, they started to kill the grass on that path, and so it became a path that people could tell, "Hey, there's a path there. Somebody walks this on a regular basis." And they would do that to spend time with the Lord in prayer. And it also became very clear to them if someone was neglecting his or her prayer time, and they would say to one another in holding them accountable, "Brother, the grass is growing on your path." And that meant you're missing your time of prayer.

You know, I think for a lot of Christians today, we would have to say the grass is growing on our path of prayer. And so many of us are lacking when it comes to this subject of prayer. Now, oftentimes, when you preach - as a preacher, I preach on certain things, and you can tell that people are like, "Oh, I don't do very well in that." You talk about witnessing. You know, we need to be witnessing for the Lord, telling people about Jesus. "Oh, I know I need to be doing that. I'm just not very good at that. I don't know what to say," and they can ...
