How many in here have ever been on a cruise? Anybody ever been on a cruise? How many enjoy going on a cruise? You enjoy the cruises? My wife has problems with motion sickness. And so, I've always wanted to go on a cruise, and she has never wanted to go on a cruise. But I finally got her to go on a cruise for our 25th anniversary, and we went to Alaska in the Inside Passage there in Alaska where it was going to be smoother. And she did pretty well. But Larry Sims was trying to encourage her, and he said to her, "Debbie, the boat is so big you don't even notice it." And she said, "The ocean is much bigger than the boat. I don't care how big the cruise liner is, the ocean is bigger." And so, as we know, the ocean can turn on you, and it can be a problem. But those big ships are incredible in terms of size.
I was looking at one just this morning. It's called The Celebrity Reflection. We have a picture of this ship, The Celebrity Reflection. It is 126,000 tons of ocean liner. It has a capacity of 1523 cabins. It's 16 decks. It can house 346 crew, 1271 passengers. It's 1,047 feet long. That's a big ship. And it's amazing if you look at the rudder on this ship. It's amazing when you think how big that thing is versus how, in relative terms, how small the rudder is. But it's the rudder that determines the direction. Now, James points this out in James chapter 3. He said, you know, big ships are guided by a relatively small rudder. And he compares that to the tongue. The tongue is small, but it has lots of power. And, see, we can use our tongues for good or for evil. We can use our tongues for blessing or for cursing. And we can use our tongues to pray to God and to intercede on behalf of other people. Little old you and little old me can make a difference with the great God of the universe when we stand in the ...
