If you have your Bible, please turn to Ephesians chapter 6. We want to talk about Parents and Children today in our series, The Divine Design: God's Plan for Marriage and Family, and the issue of parenting.

As John said, "I have no greater joy than to hear my children walking in truth." And that was my desire and Debbie's desire for our girls. And, you know, when you're there as a young dad and you just look at your child, and you think, how do I do this? I wish they came with instructions. But they do, and God has given us instructions in the Word of God.
Ephesians is so rich, because in the Book of Ephesians the Lord tells us who we are in Christ, and tells us how to live that out in Christ. The first three chapters all about positional truth. Next three chapters, chapters 4, 5, and 6, all about how to live it out. And it has so much about family life.
It tells us in verse 18 of chapter 5 that we need to be filled with the Holy Spir ...
