What a Place

As a family, our vacation excursions are normally always southwards, which means we go to Florida, sometimes ending up a Disney, Panama City, Orlando, or Daytona Beach. We have been to Myrtle Beach, but that was most likely our one and only trip there.

Often times we will shoot up to Pigeon Forge, which is less than a few hours from our house. I think our family was not meant to entertain cold weather places, so we stick to warmer climates. We have just recently begin going on cruises, which is something that may become annual excursions, for myself, my wife, and my daughter's family.

I think off all the places that I have ever been, Saint Simons Island is the only place I would ever desire to actual want to live. The moment you cross the causeway onto the island it looks like paradise. The old trees, the old homes, and the quaintness of the island is spectacular and stunning. I have never been there, when I did not want to stay a bit longer.

The same can be said of Peter, James, and John as they were on the mount and saw the glory of the Lord. Those me were witnesses to such glimmering shades of glory, that none of them wanted to leave the place. It was so stunning and spectacular that the Lord forbid them of discussing it, until after his resurrection. In time Peter would reveal it in his writings.
