Today we are continuing the "You Asked For It" sermon series. These messages are in response to some of the most requested topics... and some of the most commonly asked questions that we've received over the past year.

The truth is... We live in a world that is quickly changing... I believe everyone would agree with that... But it's important to remember: Even in a changing world, we serve a God that doesn't change. [Heb. 13:8] says, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. In [Malachi 3:6 NIV] God says, "I the LORD do not change." And not only is Jesus the same... and not only does God refuse to change... His word never changes. [Isa. 40:8] "The grass withers, the flowers fade, but the word of our God remains forever."

I'm so thankful that, I, as a pastor, and we as the church, don't have to create solutions or make up what's right and what's wrong... God's given us the truth in His word. Now our job is to seek that truth and pursue that truth... and hopefully this series will equip you to do, just that.

Today, we're going to be seeking God's truth... regarding another 'hot topic' in our culture today... and that is... mental health. Now... Before we attempt to discuss it... let's go ahead and define it.

Definition of mental health (according to the CDC): Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices.

Everyone here today has mental health... in the same way each of us have physical health and spiritual health. We're all on the spectrum, but where we are on the spectrum varies from person to person. Some of us are mentally healthy today... and praise God for that! ...but for some of us (if we're being honest) we aren't mentally healthy right now. And that's okay because ...
