Last week we began a message, seeking God’s truth in the areas of Gender, Identity & Sexuality. We began by looking at The DESIGN & The DESIGNER…
Let me give you a quick recap from last week:
1.God is the designer of gender.
-Genesis 1:27] 27 So God created man in his own image; he created him in the image of God; he created them male and female.
-Created in the image of God.
-Created male and female.
2.God founded the foundation of the family.
-God created us different than one another.
-God created us to complement each other. (Where I am strong, she is weak. Where she is strong, I am weak. Together, we’re stronger.)
-We have different roles and responsibilities.
3.God is the inventor of intimacy.
-[Genesis 2:25] that: “Both the man and his wife were naked, yet felt no shame.”
-God created sex for procreation and for pleasure.
-Sex was designed by God… to be good. …to bring glory to God. …to exclusively take place between a husband and a wife.
The Bible is very clear when it comes to these things… but don’t forget what we learned last week… Satan always creates confusion where God offers clarity. [1 Cor. 14:33 NKJV] “For God is not the author of confusion but of peace…”
And yet, we see a lot of confusion in our world today. Our culture is confused and that’s why we’re calling this message: The DILEMMA of Gender, Identity & Sexuality.
The world we’re living in, is different than the world most of us grew up in.
I grew up in a world where Mr. Potato head was just Mr. Potato head. But in recent days—Hasbro decided to give him a more gender-inclusive identity, so now, Mr. Potato Head is known as… Potato Head.
Today in Oregon, a 15-year-old can transition their body without parental consent. In Scotland, a law was just passed, allowing 4-year-olds to identity as the opposite gender and even change their name w ...
