Ye Must Be Born Again
Marvin Patterson
John 3:1-16

Introduction:

Jesus has just run off the unjust moneychangers and animal dealers out of the temple! They had turned God's house of prayer into a house of merchandise and Jesus took a small whip and whipped them and turned their tables over and the sacrifices and money went everywhere! The authorities asked Him where He got His authority to do this and He replied to tear down the temple and He would build it back in three days! They thought He was referring to the Temple of Herod, which had been in the building for forty six years, and Jesus was going to rebuild it in three days? But Jesus was referring to His body, and He predicted His death, burial, and resurrection!

Now we see an interesting character come on the scene and His name is Nicodemus, and he was the Head teacher in Israel, and HE wanted to make sure He was gong to heaven one day! Let's dive in and see what Nicodemus has to say about being born again!

Like Nicodemus, we must examine Jesus for ourselves - others cannot do it for us. Then, if we believe he is who he says, we will want to speak up for him. -Life Application Bible Notes
