ILLUS. - Some gifts come with big responsibility right? - As a kid I remember getting my first bb gun ... no it was not a Red Ryder it was a Daisy. But it came w/ a responsibility ... which I failed at by the way. - Maybe it was a car, or an inheritance ... but some gifts you feel a responsibility with. - You want to manage the use, you want to steward it well.
- We should strive to be good stewards of the gifts God places in our life. - Whether that be talents, abilities, spiritual gifts, influence, financial blessings, health, relationships ... we want to strive to steward God's gifts well. - At times we fail. But we should recognize the responsibility ... because these are gifts from God.

Solomon received tremendous gifts from God. - He was BLESSED before that was a hashtag. He had things in his life that can only be explained by the HAND OF GOD.
- We all do by the way! - There are things in your life that can only be explained by God's hand ... His gracious, generous hand.
- Let's look at how Solomon used these GIFTS.

1 Kings 4:20-38 - Judah and Israel were as many as the sand by the sea. They ate and drank and were happy. 21 Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the Euphrates to the land of the Philistines and to the border of Egypt. They brought tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life. 22 Solomon's provision for one day was thirty cors of fine flour and sixty cors of meal, 23 ten fat oxen, and twenty pasture-fed cattle, a hundred sheep, besides deer, gazelles, roebucks, and fattened fowl. 24 For he had dominion over all the region west of the Euphrates from Tiphsah to Gaza, over all the kings west of the Euphrates. And he had peace on all sides around him. 25 And Judah and Israel lived in safety, from Dan even to Beersheba, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, all the days of Solomon. 26 Solomon also had 40,000 stalls of horses for his ch ...
