The secret to a growing, thriving congregation is not really a secret. It is not nearly as complicated as we sometimes want to make it. Ultimately, the key to growing a church is one person telling another. Word of mouth is not only the best way for extending the Gospel, ultimately it is the ONLY way. Listen to two passages of Scripture that speak to this theme: Colossians 2:4-6; 1 Peter 3:15-18.

3. You want the people you love and those around you to also love Jesus and join you in eternity. Amen?
4. We want this because we love our friends and family and because Jesus deserves it. Amen?
5. Growing our church is really secondary to our desire to share the Jesus we love with the people we love.
