Genesis 39

Jealousy stoked the fires of hatred and his brothers managed to rid themselves of his coat and his fanciful dreams. They sold their brother into a life of slavery, a life to be lived out in a foreign land.
To me, that is a tragedy. Joseph's life, on so many levels was tragic and yet we still find that no matter how low his station in life was, the Bible continues to paint him as highly favored and blessed by God.
