As you're sitting here tonight, maybe you have a situation where you say, "You know, I have a relationship problem where I need God to move a mountain. I need God to work a miracle for me. I have a financial situation, and I need a miracle. I have a spiritual problem. I need God to break a chain that's been holding me back. I need God to do a miracle." All sorts of things. Whether your miracle is physical, whether it's financial, whether it's emotional, whether it's relational, or whether it's spiritual, the Lord is in the miracle-working business.

I had a customer years ago when I was selling chemicals, and he was a Christian guy, and he was at Texas A&M at their alumni center. He had a little plaque that he kept on his desk, and it said, "God hasn't lost His recipe for manna." And I like that because it just says God is still in the miracle-working business. He knows how to do miracles.

Now, we know that there's nothing too difficult for the Lord. The Bible makes that clear. God asks the question in Jeremiah 32:27, "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh; is anything too difficult for Me?" And in that same chapter, Jeremiah says, "Ah, Lord GOD! You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power, by Your hand, Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for You." And so, God is able to do. As we see in our study in John, we come to the first miracle that John records. John uses the word sign. He doesn't use the word miracle. He uses the word sign. And he said, "This is the first sign." In John's gospel, he has seven signs that show that Jesus is who He claimed to be. He is the Christ, the Son of the living God. See, he wrote the gospel of John for that very purpose. As he says in John, chapter 20, "Many other signs therefore Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples which are not written in this, written in this book. But these have ...
