If you have your Bible, please turn to John chapter 13. When I was in college, I was part of Allendale Baptist Church, which was a large growing church in Austin. One of the guys I really looked up to, one of my discipleship leaders, was the college department mc. So, he would always kind of lead the group and do announcements. He didn't teach, but he was kind of the point person, and so, when he graduated and moved on, the guy that was running the college department said, "Jeff, I want you to do that." And I was like, "I don't want to do that." I didn't like getting up in front of people. And he said, 'No, I want you to do it." And so, I did it a couple of times. It didn't go very well. I was wanting to quit. And he said, "No, you can't quit." And so, I remember I was going home for the summer, and one of the guys at the church, David Ferguson said, "Hey, why don't you read this book. It's about leadership from Chuck Swindoll." It was a book on the Book of Nehemiah, and it was called Hand Me Another Brick! It was all about Nehemiah and his leadership. I struggled to get through that book. It was a good book. I've read it since, but I've never forgotten the title of that book, Hand Me Another Brick! And so, as I was reading in John 13, the story of Jesus washing the disciples' feet, I thought, well, that will be kind of an interesting title to put out, Hand Me Another Foot. Jacob Bain asked me, "Yeah, I'm kind of curious about this title, Hand Me Another Foot." So, I felt like I needed to explain it; otherwise, you'd think I'm a weirdo. But that's where I got it, Hand Me Another Brick! We're going to talk about foot-washing, Hand Me Another Foot.
