And The Word Became Fresh
John 20:30-31

Debbie and I went to Buc-ee's a few years ago. We had heard about it, and we went to one. This was before they built the one between us and Dallas, Royse City. It was close to Waco. We had heard about this, and we were driving back from Austin. We said, "Well, let's go." We were just shocked. I'd never gone into such nice bathrooms. I just wanted to stay in the bathroom. I mean, it's just like, this is the most beautiful place. And then, the food is tremendous, and the hundred gas pumps - it just blows you away. But one of the things about Buc-ee's that they do is, they have very memorable signs on the highway if you've noticed that. There's a sign in Texarkana to let you know that there's Buc-ee's two hours away in Rockwell. Normally, you don't put road signs and build-board signs that far out. I saw this one, one of my favorite ones. "Only 262 miles to Buc-ee's; you can hold it!" When you've been to Buc-ee's bathroom, you're like, yeah, I can do that. I want to go there. And then this one, "Just to let you know - 9 miles; it's potty time." And, so Buc-ee's takes advantage of the signs. But we all know that those are just signs. That's not the store. It's a sign to tell you this is the way to get to the store. This is where you turn to go to the store.
Well, as we are finishing up John's gospel, and as he is getting ready to land the plane, twenty-one chapters in the gospel of John, and we're going to finish up chapter 20 today, he talks about signs, signs that point the way to Jesus. And anyone who reads the gospels, or hears the gospels, or who sees depicted the life of Jesus, you can't get away from the fact that He did many, many signs, many miracles. What's a sign? It's an attesting miracle. And Jesus did many of them.
Now, this is very interesting about John's gospel. Mark has the most miracles in his gospel. John has the fewest, just seven, but they're ...
