If you have your Bible, please turn to John chapter 20. We are into the resurrection, and this is exciting. I wanted to talk to you today. I've entitled the message, Seeing and Believing.

Years ago, I heard a story about two guys, and they were walking their dogs down the street. And one had a Labrador Retriever, and the other had a little Chihuahua. And they're walking down the street. And the guy with the Labrador Retriever noticed this aroma coming from a restaurant down the street, and he said, "Man, that smells so good." He said, "Let's go in there and get something to eat." And the guy with the Chihuahua said, "Well, how can we do that? We have our dogs." He goes, "Just follow my lead." And so, he goes into the restaurant, he puts on a pair of sunglasses, he goes to the front, and he says, "I'd like to have a table." And the guy there at the restaurant said, "Well, you can't come in here with a dog. No pets allowed." He said, "It's a Seeing-Eye dog." He goes, "Oh, I'm so sorry. Well, here's a table." So, the guy with the Chihuahua says, "Okay!" He puts on his sunglasses. He goes, and he says, "I'd like to have a table." The guy says, "You can't come in here with a pet. There are no pets allowed." He goes, "Well, it's a Seeing-Eye dog." He said, "A Seeing-Eye dog? That's a Chihuahua." He said, "What! They gave me a Chihuahua!" The old phrase says that seeing is believing. That phrase is used when something unlikely is witnessed and can no longer be doubted or denied.

Now, Jesus had told His disciples on numerous occasions that He was going to Jerusalem; that He was going to be mistreated and abused by the scribes and the elders and the rulers of the people; that He was going to be crucified, killed, and on the third day rise again.
