Soul on Fire: God's Plan for Revival
Jeff Schreve
1 John 1:1-10
Ferraris are incredible sports cars. Who in this room owns a Ferrari? Anybody own a Ferrari? Probably not. The Ferrari Company was started by a man named Enzo Ferrari in 1939. This Italian sports car company, luxury sports car company, built its first car in 1940. The company has been around since that time building high-end sports cars. But in 2003 they came out with a car called the Ferrari Enzo, named after the founder, Enzo Ferrari. That car rolled out in 2003 and they only made 399 of them. It rolled out with a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $643,000. But now, today, it's gone up in value. It's a 12-cycle engine. It has a top-end speed of 220 miles an hour. If you want to get one of those, you can buy one. It's 2.8 million dollars. It is Paster Appreciation Month, and I just thought I'd point that out. Most of us can't afford a Ferrari Enzo, not that one. But what about if you bought a wrecked one? You can get that one for less. Now, you know, there's a difference in those two cars. They're both Ferrari Enzos, but one is in mint condition, and one is in total disrepair. One is the way it was designed to be, and one has fallen so far from what it was designed to be.

As we shared last week, why do we need that? Because, as the song says, "We're prone to wander. Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it; prone to leave the God I love." Now, you need revival in your heart. I need revival in my heart. We need revival as a church. We desperately need revival in America, because if you've been following at all, America is going ...
