Revelation 3:7-13

- Years ago, a young married man sat among a group of older and made this statement (I know because I heard Him), "I want to be the guy." Adam was in his 20's, with a beautiful wife, good job, and a young child. When the men began to ask exactly what he meant he responded, "You know, the one that can be counted on, no matter what." Did you realize that "THIS" is the type of person and type of church that God is looking for, if not 'demands!' What Adam said in that meeting is the definition of 'consistent' or 'consistency.'

- The Lord Jesus died to pay the price for our sins, He rose from the dead to make us right before the Father, He ascended to heaven, and one day He'll return to take home, His redeemed, His own, His family, and His children. He desires and He requires a life of dependability or, better said, consistency. While on earth, with every breath He had, He called His followers to live a consistent life ("You are the salt and light", "Let your light shine"). This is His call to His church and His follower.

- Today is the "CONSISTENT CHURCH." Philadelphia is the church that I desire to be a part of, that I wish for us to be. They were so consistent that the Lord Jesus, Himself, offers no words of condemnation. LET READ OUR TEXT.
