Change for Better or Worse

There is a restaurant that a bunch of us guys would go to and eat breakfast, we went there for years. The food was good and the atmosphere was even better, and then the current owner decided to retire.

The new owner came in and changed the place until it did not even look like the former place. We all kept on going there, though the new owner was anti-social, the food was bad, and they would not keep our coffee filled up. It was just a matter of time, before this place went under.

In time the old owner decided to unretire and open up a new place to eat on the other side of the county and we all just took our business to this new place, though it was a much longer drive for me. We all still go to this new place, where the food is good, the atmosphere is even better, and they let us get our own coffee, because that is why we are really there, to solve the problems of the world and to drink the coffee.

The old restaurant reopened once again for the third time, with this one being the worst of the previous ones. If you went there to eat breakfast they gave you plastic silverware and put your food in styrofoam bowls. Just a few weeks back they shut this one down and the building is going to be torn down, before the area is turned into a "Dollar Tree" store.

On the other hand we have a mom and pops restaurant that used to be slow, it smelled bad, before a younger member of the family took over and after much renovation, it became much faster, with much better food.
