Confession! In an energetic congregation the preacher got up one Sunday morning and said, "With God's help we can see the day when this church will go from crawling to walking." The people responded enthusiastically, "Let the church walk, preacher, let the church walk." "And when the church begins to walk, next the church can begin to run." And the people shouted, "Let the church run, preacher, let the church run!" "And finally the church can move from running and finally begin to soar. Oh, the church can soar! But of course, that's going to take the commitment of all of us for that to happen!" The congregation grew quiet and from the back of the church, someone mumbled, "Let the church crawl, preacher, let the church crawl."

The church of the Lord Jesus Christ has been designed by HIM to soar. As we talked last week, Jesus designed His church to attack the gates of hell and WIN. This means "US". For us to really SPIRITUALLY SOAR, we need a personal and a corporate revival. During the last years, I have spent quite a bit of time defining this thing we call "Revival." Dr. Adrian Rogers says, "Revival is when God comes down," Leonard Ravenhill's says, "Revival is when God get so sick & tired of being misrepresented that He shows up Himself." Ravenhill goes on to offer us another definition in three words, "Recover, Repair, or Restore," that is, "Bringing back spiritual life, where spiritual life once existed." Where spiritual life exists, spiritual things are top priority. It does not matter your age, stage or social status. It impacts everyone because everyone need revival. Let me illustrate Spiritual things this way.

Let's begin with the teenagers. The teen culture is different in many ways that those who came before, but similarities exist. For instance, worship on Sunday than at Camp (or maybe even Wed nights). At camp, we can be FREE! My question is "FREE FROM WHAT?" Should I tell you or should ...
