What are you doing waiting for grandpa?

Well, some of us might still be waiting for grandpa to arrive, but Christmas season is officially here. Okay. I know Hobby Lobby told you it started back in October, but it didn't. It didn't. My wife buys into the propaganda. My house got decorated really early. I, I'm not on. I like my holidays, like I like my food and my plate.

I don't really like to be touching each other. I was at a restaurant the other day and I, and I ordered something and I got a piece of meat and some mashed potatoes and some asparagus, which I like, but the asparagus was sticking out of the mashed potatoes, and I was like, you're, y'all are doing this wrong.

Right? But that's how I feel about it. When like, I can go to Hobby Lobby, I can buy like sparkly pumpkins and sparkly snowflakes at exactly the same. I don't, I don. My, my wife decorated the beginning of November. It's okay. I refuse to say Merry Christmas though until after Thanksgiving. Cause I'm a man of principle

Appreciate that, appreciate that. But Thanksgiving is over, so it is officially Christmas seasons. Who won't you find somebody nearby and just say Merry Christmas. Today it is finally. And hey, our, um, our, our sermon series. Our message series for Christmas is called From Silence to Celebration. And we're going to lean really hard into the celebration as we get closer to Christmas to itself. But today I want to talk to you about the significance of silence. The meaning of silence.

Silence can be. Pretty refreshing, right? It can be soothing, silence can be soothing. I bought, a couple years ago, I bought one of those sets of noise canceling headphones, probably the best $65 I've ever spent. Cause I can get on a plane, I can put these things on, I can engage the noise canceling. And all of a sudden, like, it just gets quiet.
