Genesis 3:8-10
Woman took her husband to the doctor's office. After his checkup the doctor said, 'Your husband is suffering from a very serious illness'.
The husband was hard of hearing and said, 'What did he say?' 'He says you are sick'.
The doctored continued, 'But there is hope. You just need to reduce his stress. Each morning, give him a full breakfast. Always be pleasant and nice and kind. For lunch and dinner make him his favorite meals. Never argue with him and always keep yourself looking as perfect as possible. Basically cater to his every whim or he won't make it'.
The hard of hearing husband again said, 'What did he say?' She turned to her husband and said ''HE SAYS YOU ARE GONNA DIE''
An elderly gentleman with hearing problems goes to the doctor and gets fitted with hearing aids.
After a month he goes back for a checkup and the doctor asks him how things are going now that he can hear everything and if his friends and family have said anything.
The gentleman replied, ''I haven't told anyone yet I just sit around and listen to their conversations. I've changed my will five times already!''

8They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.
9Then the Lord God called to the man, and said to him, ''Where are you?''
10He said, ''I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself.''
Man was originally created to hear the sound of God in His life...
The sound (shama=God hears) was that was undivided attention that brought direction, purpose, fellowship, instruction...
After the fall....We are still created to operate best when we hear God!
