[00:00:31] Well, hey, welcome to Mission Hill. So good to have you with us this weekend for week number two of our series, the End of the World as we know it, A Message of Hope. Last week, we started to talk about some of the big picture ideas that we need to keep in mind in order to encounter the book of Revelation in in the way it was intended and to get out of it what it was intended to give us.

[00:00:47] Today, I wanna talk to you about what matters most. Okay. And when it comes to the end times, when it comes to Bible prophecy about the end of the world, what, what matters most? I think everybody [00:01:00] assumes that what matters most is when, right? Everybody wants to know when is it gonna happen. That’s everybody’s big question, and they’ve always been things that have made people think that, you know this, this is maybe it anybody remember a few years ago, all kind of hyped up about the Mayan Cal.

[00:01:14] You might remember the Mayan count. Who remembers the Mayan calendar? Right? So the Mayan count, if you don’t know, it was basically this thing. It was created hundreds of years worth of Mayans and it just ended in 2012. So 2012 came and all kinds of people were emailing me going like, what did the Mayans know?

[00:01:27] Right? Does the Bible talk about 2012? And my personal theory was like they chiseled that calendar outta rocks. And my personal theory was, uh, they just got tired. They’re like, this is taken forever. And you know what? We’re all gonna be dead by the time we get to 2012, so somebody else can make a new calendar when we get.
