HARDENING OF THE ARTERIES
Hebrews 3:7-19
We are studying the Book of Hebrews and I hope you have your Bible
open to the Book of Hebrews. We're in the third chapter. Today
we'll look at verse 7 through verse 19. Hebrews, Chapter 3, 7-
19. Let's bow for prayer together.
"Our Heavenly Father, we're here to give praises to Thee.
We're also here to wait upon Thee and to allow Thy Holy
Spirit to come and plunge into the depths of our lives
and to search and seek out that which is not pleasing to
Thee. Lord, You speak and let me get out of the way so
that Thy Word and Thy Truth might be heard, received,
understood and may we put it into practice right where
we live. For this is our prayer through Jesus Christ our
living Lord. Amen."
Hebrews is a call. A clear call for Christians to go on to
maturity. In other words, what is it going to take to wake you up,
to shake me up, to move us out to become and to receive all that
God intends for His sons and daughters. I pray this morning that
in this worship service this would be in your life and in my life
a giant hour.

I wonder if you could call back one hour in which you have lived
and re-live that one hour again, which hour would you select?
The London Times years ago posed that to its readers. This

those important hours in your life. The hours you would like to
re-live and give us an account of them and we'll report it in the

One lady wrote and said after many months of waiting, followed by
very delicate surgery and a great deal of pain, she said I was
lying in my hospital bed strapped down and they brought into the
room a little baby in a crib. And she said I looked at that baby,
my daughter, and I thought of her growing up, the teenage years,
my companion, my pal and she said I just dreamed for over an hour
by that daughter whom I was unable to pick up and ...
