Savior Anticipated

Luke 1:68-70

In July and August of 1854 something was killing thousands of people in London. The people thought, ‘‘It must be the bad air.’’
Because at that time they believed that most communicable diseases were caused by the inhaling contaminated air.
As the unseasonable heat baked the sewage that was dumped into the Thames River which flowed through the center of the city the smell become so bad that it was known as, ‘‘The Great Stink.’’
To help control the smell they poured lime into the river.

But the worst problem wasn’t the air. Research by Doctor John Snow would show that contaminated water was the cause of the
cholera epidemic an infection that spreads through contaminated food and water.

beginning of every sin under heaven.’’

We need a Savior who will forgive us of our sins.
