INFLUENCE

Exodus 2: 1-10



I didn't think anybody'd be here tonight. Glad you came. Hope you have

you,r Bibles open already to Exodus, Chapter Number 2. We'll look at Verse

I through Verse 10 of Exodus, Chapter 2, as we continue our study of-Moses.

Let's bow for prayer as we begin.



"Father, thank You for the ways in which You introduce Jesus Christ to us

and the Book to us, through word, through song, through drama, through

testimony, through a life. So many avenues, so many vehicles available

that You touch and inspire and work through folks like us. We're astounded

and humbled. Lord, I pray tonight that You will speak in this service as

You've already spoken. Through the proclaimed word, let me get out of the

way so that Thy word and Thy holy and divine message alone might not only

be heard, but may it be received and understood and incorporated into our

life-styles. For we make this prayer through Him Who loved us so much

that He gave...He gave...He gave His life, and He continues to give that

same love. This same Jesus. Amen."



Couples across America crying out for children, being physically unable

to have children, the adoption agencies and society saying over and over

and over again, "I'm sorry. You'll have to wait." Or, "I'm sorry. ft

will be several years." Or, "I am sorry. I don't think we'll have a

child for you." Couple this with the fact that four thousand babies are

killed in the mother's womb every day in America, and I think we are

face to face again with the realization and with the unbelievably startling

fact that the days of Moses with all of their pagan worship, with all of

their sacrifice of adults and children is nothing compared to the brutality
