The Great White Throne of Judgment
Collin Wimberly
Rev. 20:11-15
CIT- John describes the final judgment of those who never accept Christ as their Lord and Savior.
INTRODUCTION:
Lately we have all been made aware of the legal cases of men on death row who have been found innocent because of DNA testing. The number of cases so far has been troubling, even causing some states to suspend capital punishment until they can find a way to improve the system with less chance of innocent people being put to death for crimes they did not commit.
What if I were to tell you there is one court that never makes a mistake. A court whose sentence is always correct. There is one judge who is never wrong or ever bribed.

I) THE COURTROOM-
What do we find in this courtroom in heaven?
A) THE PLACE- This take place in eternity. ‘‘the indescribable void between the present creation and the new heavens and new earth’’ Mcarthur. This universe will have passes out of existence. Peter describes this in 2 Peter 3:10-13, ‘‘God will incinerate the universe, probably in an atomic reaction that will disintegrate all matter as we know it. The whole of the physical universe as we know it will have been consumed.
Isaiah 34:4
4 All the host of heaven shall be dissolved,
And the heavens shall be rolled up like a scroll;
All their host shall fall down
As the leaf falls from the vine,
And as fruit falling from a fig tree.
B) A THRONE: Nearly 50 times this throne is mentioned in the book of Revelation.
A Great Throne - This throne is elevated, and awesome in appearance. It dominates the scene.
A White Throne - It is white for holiness and purity.
C) A JUDGE- Jesus Christ sits upon that throne. No one else is qualified.
Jesus will never be fooled by the smooth words of men. His eyes of fire see to the very heart and soul of mankind. No excuse will stand before Him ...
