INTRODUCTION:
One of the best aspects of finding out that you are to be a parent of new baby is deciding upon a name. It’s not that easy. To be honest, Gina was always a lot better at it than me. She thinks about it, prays over it, and considers it for a good part of nine months, then comes up with several excellent names for us to choose from.
On the other hand, I usually just spout something off the top of my head. I guess it’s good that God gives Gina insight into these things, or Steven would probably be named Melchizedek!
In Isaiah 9:6 we find 5 names given to the Messiah, given to Christ. There are two hundred and fifty-six names given in the Bible for the Lord Jesus Christ, and I suppose this was because He was infinitely beyond all that any one name could express. Billy Sunday
When God named this baby, he knew that names were important. These names are going to reveal much to us about the savior. In fact, these names may transform your thinking about who Jesus is. These names given almost 3.000 years ago offer hope, help, and healing. I want to challenge you to consider your relationship with Christ. To make a decision to accept this Jesus as your savior and Lord. To internalize the truth these names reveal.

Some try to place wonderful and counselor together. There seems to be more evidence for keeping them separate. The best evidence is found in Judges 13:18 in the story of Sampson. When the angel of the Lord appears Monoah asks His name. Judges 13:18 18 And the Angel of the LORD said to him, ‘‘Why do you ask My name, seeing it is wonderful?’’
The Angel of the Lord is a pre-incarnate appearance of Christ.
Wonderful mans marvelous, something beyond human reason and ability.
