Simple is Supreme
We have two cats in our family, both are males and both are Russian Blues. If you ever been around a Russian Blue cat, you will soon realize that they are mostly loners and want to live life their way, so just leave them alone.
There have been so many times that my wife and I would bring them home some cat toys and they sniff at them, before smugly walking away. Then there would be times that we opened up a bigger box and laid it in the floor and the cats would play with it all day and night.
Do you know why, they like it simple!!!
When my daughter was little and we would give her toys to play with, all of those things were out the window if I fixed her up a big box to play with. She would get inside that box and play, read, or even sleep. It was like that box was worth more than all of her toys.
Do you know why she liked it; there is something supreme in keeping it simple.
My granddaughter loves to stay with me and often spends the weekend with my wife and me. The kid has more toys than most stores, but the thing that she enjoys more than anything else is for me to take a bed sheet and stack pillows all around the bed and make her an old fashioned tent or fort.
That girl will get inside that little fortress and lay there and watch videos or play games on the phone for hours. I leave her a little hole to wiggle in and out if she needs too and when she calls I give her food or water.
It’s the simple things of life that often brings us the most joy.
When God want to initiate his divine plan of salvation he kept it simple.
