WHATEVER HAPPENED TO SIN?

Job 35:15

My Goodness, we're wired up here. We're going somewhere. We've been in Job for
a long time, and I'm ready to get some help for Job. We're going to do that this
morning. Hope you'll open your Bibles with me to Job, Chapter Number 35, I'll
read Verse 15 and 16. If I were going to take a full text, I would have have to
read Job 31 through 36 and 37 through...ah ... about 39 or 40, and read on from
there to 42. So, I'll read a couple of verses. Job 35: 15 and 16.

15 "And now, because He has not visited in His anger, Nor has
He acknowledged transgression welt, 16 So Tob opens his mouth
empti4y; He multiplies words without knowledge.'

The latter part of that Verse 15, I want you to look at it. Moffatt translates

that particular section like this: God is not serious about sin. Let's pray to-

gether.

"Father. we come before Thy word aqain amazed and staggered at its effectiveness
through Thy Spirit in breaking into our lives. Lord, in this hour I pray that You
will speak and let me get out o the way so that Thy word and Thy message alone
might be heard. Father, just the thought that You are going to speak is stagger-
ing to us. But we know through Thy Spirit and through Thy Book, and even through
the foolishness of preaching, You speak to us. May we all be included in what You
are about in this hour. Deal with us we pray. Touch us we beg. As we make this
petition in the strong, holy name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and our Lord. Amen."
