In 1958, David Beatty, a Southern Gospel artist and singer, released the son ‘‘It’s Different Now’’ and I would love to know the story behind that wonderful song, because I am sure that it was based upon the salvation of some lost sinner that had experienced an awesome change due to being born again.

HOPE FOR A CHANGE

In the Peanuts comic strip, we find Snoopy thinking to himself: ‘‘Yesterday I was a dog. Today I’m a dog. Tomorrow I’ll probably still be a dog. Ohh...there’s so little hope for advancement.’’

Well, there is hope for those who have a dog’s life, but the change will require them to make a choice. Regardless of why our life is the way it is today, where it goes from here is primarily up to us. We can wake up tomorrow to another dog’s day, or we can ask the Lord to help us make some changes, both inside and out.

I know one thing, I am not who I used to be. I was one of those unthankful sinners, but now I am a born again believer and I have much to be thankful for and I want to express that thanks. It is different now in my life, because the Lord took an old vile sinner and washed me, cleaned me up, and placed me on his team.
