THE GREAT AWAKENING
Revelation 7:1-17
We have our Bibles open to our scripture this morning in Revelation,
chapter number 7, verse 1 through the end of the chapter. As we bow for
prayer together.
Father, we're here in Thy house today to do business with Thee. We pause
on the first day of this brand new week to remember the resurrection of
Thy son, Jesus Christ, as we do every Sunday. But also, 0 Lord, in this
time of worship, we ask that Thou would deal with us individually and
collectively. May no one here leave this assembly without feeling that
they have indeed met with Thee. Speak to us through music, through
prayer, through the reading of Thy word, through shared testimony,
through the atmosphere that Thou hast created here among these pews.
And, 0 Lord, You speak. Let me get out of the way so that Thy word and
Thy message alone might not only be heard, but may it be received and
may it be understood. And Lord, help us to apply Thy truth right where
we live. For this is our prayer through Jesus Christ our living Lord.
Amen.
