Have you been hurt or offended by someone and it caused you to rethink your position or feelings about that person?

• They may have said the wrong thing to you;
• They may have done something wrong to you;
• They may have hurt your feelings; or,
• They may have even broken your heart!

Because of what’s happened in the past, it’s hard for you to move forward in the future. The hurt has subsided some, but there’s still some pain there and it’s hard to move on with your life. This is a bad time to have a very good memory because you just can’t seem to ‘‘shake’’ what they did, and every time you see them, you’re reminded of their previous actions. The biggest problem with this whole scenario in my understanding is unforgiveness!! Because you’ve not been able to forgive that person, you are still dealing with those feelings, emotions, and even memories of what took place in the past.

From a physical standpoint, unforgiveness is unhealthy! I make that statement because when you’re living like that, you are not living life to its fullest potential. Unforgiveness will have you stressing about things; it will have you losing sleep; it will have you not eating properly; and will even cause you to avoid going to certain places for fear that the person might be there when you arrive. Unforgiveness can put you in a box that can be difficult to get out of, if you stay there too long!

I don’t know about you, but I do know that I’ve done some things that God is not pleased with and am so thankful that He not only forgives, but He forgets too! I would be in very bad shape if God avoided me and made it a point not to be in the places I find myself. I think it woul ...
