‘‘Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.’’

There are some things that are precious to us such as gold, silver, diamonds and other gems. There are some other things that are precious to us like items we’ve received from loved ones that have sentimental value. Still there are some other things that are precious to us like our friendships and relationships with certain people and because of them, we cherish them and also protect them as well. We’ll find ourselves getting upset when someone messes with or disturb those things and people that are precious to us because they bring us a certain level of joy and satisfaction.
I would submit to you today that the Word of God is one of those precious and sacred things. It is something that we should both cherish and protect, as it has the power to provide us with the knowledge necessary to obtain eternal life, and be assured of the promises contained therein.
I’ve got a question for you...have you ever tried to give someone advice that you know will work for them, yet they refused to hear you out? No matter how hard you tried to convince them of the advice, they wanted nothing to do with it, so eventually you gave up and turned them over to their own vices. The same can be said about the Word of God. Believe it or not, there are some people out there who do not want to hear what you have to say about the Bible, nor do they want to hear about the central figure in the Bible.
