Matthew 7:12
‘‘Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.’’
Matthew 7:12
I believe everybody wants to be treated fairly, with respect, and feel appreciated. One of the ways to ensure this happens to you is to do it to other people and it will come back to you. This principle is found in several places in the Bible and says the same thing. In Galatians 6:7, the Apostle Paul said, ‘‘Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.’’ Basically, the idea here is whatever you put out there will eventually find you or come back to you. In Luke 6:37 we find, ‘‘Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven.’’ In this verse, three things are covered; judging, condemning, and forgiving. In all three, if we do what’s right, the word tells us right will come back to us. We accept the Bible as the Word of God and the truth of God; therefore, we believe what it says to us. Numbers 23:19 says, ‘‘God is not a man that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?’’ When God says He’s going to do something, He does it, so when He puts a principle in place, it happens just like He said it would. One principle we all experience everyday is that the sun comes up in the east and goes down in the west. If God can do that, what would make us think He couldn’t make sure the other principles would work? The bottom line is that God’s principles work, and if we want to see and experience the blessings from God, we’ve got to apply, The Golden Rule!!
