MARRIAGE MYTHS

Ephesians 5:22-27


I invite you to open your Bibles to the book of Ephesians, chapter
number 5. I'll read verse 22 - verse 27. Ephesians 5:22-27.
22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands as unto
the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ
is the head of the church and He is the Savior of the
body.
24 Therefore, as the Church is subject unto Christ, so let
the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
25 Husbands, love your wife, even as Christ also loved the
church and gave Himself for it.
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing
of water by the Word.
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church,
not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that it
should be holy and without blemish.
Let's pray together. Our heavenly Father, we thank thee for the
privilege and the joy of worship. And we're here in this place here this
morning to do business with Thee. We trust that you will give us an
unusual sense of concentration as we seek Thy truth. May we be ever so
careful not to just hear another sermon, but somehow, 0 Lord, we ask
that Thy Holy Spirit will deal with us individually and collectively at
those points of greatest need. 0 Lord, You speak, let me get out of the
way so that Thy word, Thy holy and divine message might not only be
heard, but 0 Lord, may it be received and understood and incorporated
into our lifestyles. For we make this prayer in the strong, holy, saving
name of this same Jesus. Amen.
