Thinking Humbly (2 of 4)
Series: Christmas - What Was He Thinking
Steve Jones
Philippians 2:6-11
Series Summary: In this Christmas series, we will use the passage in Philippians 2:6-11 to explore what Jesus was thinking during the incarnation. Those thoughts have implications for our own interpersonal relationships in the form of humility, obedience, sacrifice and glorification.
Sermon Summary: This sermon develops the humility of Christ’s incarnation. 1) Christ’s humility is kenotic (self-emptying). 2) Christ’s humility is exemplary.

5) ‘‘No, it’s OK, I can drive.’’ I wish to live.
6) ‘‘I love you.’’ I pinch myself every day because there’s no plausible reason a woman as incredible as you should be with an oafish man-child like me, but here you are. But it’s hard for me to express my feelings in words sometimes as I’m more of a fist-bumper and high-fiver, so I’ll just say, ‘‘I love you’’ and hope that you get the message.
