When you think about how unique the Bible is, there are many ways to measure its impact. The Bible has been special for our country, the United States of America. The Bible helped create the moral framework for the American Constitution.

The first book printed on American soil was the largest book of the Bible, the Bay Psalm Book. The Puritans did the Bay Psalm Book so the churches could sing the psalms when they met for worship. The first edition of Bay Psalm Book recently sold for $14 million! Even though the book was full of mistakes, with some of the pages turned upside down, it fetched this vast sum of money because it was the first book printed on American soil. So from the beginning of our nation, the Bible has left a tremendous impression on us. Despite all this, the Bible often is difficult to understand and easy to ignore in our lives.
