HOW TO GIVE AN OFFERING

I Corinthians 16:1-4

I hope you have your Bibles open to I Corinthians, Chapter Number 16.
This morning we'll look at the first four verses of this Chapter, I
Corinthians 16:1-4 as we bow for prayer together. Father, thank you for
preparing our hearts for Your word in this hour. We trust that Thy
spirit will stir up within many of us a new sense of They holiness, yea
a ne,,t sense of how You Quid have us to live ot-ut- Gijr days, Lord, You
speak, let me get out of the way so that Thy word and Thy holy and
divine message might not only be heard; we've heard a lot of sermons;
but Lord, may it be received and understood and incorporated into our
ii,@ing. For ute make this praver in t-ht-- strong name of Jesus Christ.
Amen.
Three weeks ago, I was seated on an airplane, seat belt was fastened,
seat in it's upright position. We took off and began to soar into the
sky and for, I guess, the thousandth time, I marveled at the gift of
flying, After we rear-hed ojjr r-ri-tising altitude-, L pushed the button and
pushed back on my seat just a little bit. You never put it all the way
back where I sit or you'll strangle the person behind you. And I just
sort of unconsciously reached to the little pocket in front and pulled
out those two magazines you find on every airline; one has all those
gimmicks that you look at that will do everything in the world; and the
other was a magazine that was published by that airline. And I was

thumbing through it and noticed and article there that pertained to

Guiness' New Book of World Records. And they listed there some world

records, and as I saw what they listed, I saw that, you know, that all

of them coul ...
