THE LOVE LIFE PART II
I Corinthians 13:4-7
I trust you already have your Bibles open to I Corinthians, chapter 13.
As we bow for prayer together.
Father, thank you for being with us in this service of praise, for music
that lifts us up to thee and we trust now you will intune our hearts so
that we'll not miss a single word you have for us. May we not only hear
but may we put steps in our lives behind Thy truth. You speak, dear
Lord, let me get out of the way so that Thy word and Thy message alone
might not only be heard but Lord may it truly be applied. We pray in
Jesus' name. Amen.
You just died. Your friends and your family get together and they're
preparing a long list that is to be read at your funeral. Things that
you have done on the positive side. I have been a part of some tough
individuals who have expired from this domain. And some of the meanest,
most unscruplous, hard boiled, vile, cynical people I've ever known when
you die, they'll find out something good about you. And they'll come to
the preacher and say, "You know, he was so-in-so, so-in-so, so-in-so,
but and they'll say something good.
I guess you can say something good about everybody but you just died and
there's a lot that's good about you. Your friends, your family, they
make a big long list because they're gonna give it to the pastor so

he'll know everything you've accomplished in your life. Now, think
about that list. What would you want to have put on it? Now, don't be
modest. Let's just tell it like it is. What would you like to see?
Name something in the church, in the business world, in the neighbor-
hood, with your family, what gives yo ...
