I Corinthians 9:1-23

I hope you have your Bibles open to I Corinthians, chapter number 9.
This morning we'll look at verse I through verse 19. I Corinthians
9:1-19, as we pray together.
Father, we, too, sing with our hearts and with our minds glory, glory,
glory. We trust that Thy glory is indeed tabernacling among us in this
hour. Speak that clear, unfettered word to our hearts. Dead with us
individually and collectively and when we leave this assembly in this
hour, may we not only be stirred and moved and inspired, but may we know
that Thou has spoken. Yea, that we have indeed been with Jesus. Oh,
Lord, you speak, let me get out of the way so that Thy Word and Thy
message might not only be heard, but may it be understood, received, and
incorporated into our living for we make this prayer in the strong, Holy
name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and our Lord. Amen.
The bases are loaded. Nobody out. A runner's on first, second, and
third. The batter coming up to the plate leads the league in hitting
with an average in excess of 385. He leads the league in RBI'S, runs
batted in. He leads the league in slugging percentage, he already has
had 43 home runs this season. The pitcher on the mound is a fast ball
pitchers who's been working about 5 innings, but his fast ball isn't
quite as quick as it was in the first inning or the second inning. He's
tiring just a little bit. The slugger up to the plate, loves the fast
