Let us begin again with a prayer. ‘‘Father God Almighty, You are the Good Shepherd, You are the Good Shepherd who laid down Your life for your flock. You laid down your life just for me. Thank You Lord, for granting me grace, and especially mercy and then You want to lead me to life and life abundant. Come and teach us by the Holy Spirit. Come and anoint every word to clearly reveal Your goodness to Your royal children. In the name of Your only begotten Son amen and amen.’’
Did you bring your swim suit? Are you ready to jump back into the deep waters of Isaiah. Are you ready to dive deep to find what is sitting on the bottom of the pool of God’s wisdom.
First let us listen to another Prophet, Ezekiel has to say about the heart of our beloved messiah.
Ezekiel 34:4
The weak you have not strengthened, nor have you healed those who were sick, nor bound up the broken, nor brought back what was driven away, nor sought what was lost; but with force and cruelty you have ruled the.
The Lord was mad at the irresponsible shepherds or church leaders. The Lord wants the weak strengthen, He wants the sick healed, and He wants the broken to be bound. The Lord wants the shepherds to go after the seek out those who have been driven away. The Lord wants the leaders to go out and find the lost.
In this verse written by Ezekiel again it shows the heart of our Lord. If you know what makes the Lord mad then you know how to please the Lord.
Here are my thoughts and what I teach all church leaders. Jesus never built a church. Jesus built people, men and women. The building is not the issue, build people and this will build a healthy church.
