WISDOM AND FOOLISHNESS

I Corinthians 3:18-4:5



Hope you have your Bibles open to I Corinthians, chapter number three.

I Corinthians three. We'll look specifically this morning at verse

sixteen through verse twenty-three. As we bow for prayer together.

Father, steady us in this time of worship. Call us back to Thyself.
May Thy Holy Spirit rule and reign and move with great power. Lord, if
there's anything in any life here that's keeping that man, than woman
from Thee, a grievance, an attitude, a barrier, a sin, a problem, a
doubt, a fear, unconfessed guilt, unrealized aspirations. Lord, You
know all of us, touch and deal with us individually as well as collec-
tively. Lord, You speak, let me get out of the way so that Thy Word and
Thy Holy and divine message might not only be heard, but Lord, may we
receive that word and understand it and apply it right where we live.
For this is our prayer in the strong name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
The church at Corinth was in a mess. The members of that church,
individually, were in a mess. Paul called them brethren. I have a
feeling if we knew members of that church and understood the problems
going in that church, we would not have been as generous as the Apostle
Paul. But he talks of brethren. He says, "You are saints. You are
Christians. But..." he says, "...your life is filled with jealousy and
